Jennifer has more than 15 years’ experience in the health and wellness field along with giving back to the community through her participation with non-profit organizations. Ms. Seven received her bachelor’s Degree from Goucher College and her Master’s Degree from George Washington University. “Why did you decide to start 7Company?”
I was working with corporations, providing health fairs and biometric screenings. Diabetes and obesity are epidemic and employees were looking for more education and help. In the corporate setting, I didn’t feel that I had enough time to really make a difference. I decided that I wanted to work more with people on a more personal, one on one basis, where I could educate and empower people to transform their health through diet and nutrition.
“What’s your favorite part about 7Company?”
I love helping clients. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone lose weight, get healthy and be able to do things that haven’t been possible before. I hear wonderful stories such as a mom letting herself be in the family photo again, a grandma able to get down on the floor and play with grandchildren, and a man able to tie his shoes comfortably; these stories bring me joy.
“How or why did the Ideal Protein diet stand out to you amongst the rest?”
When I decided that I wanted to offer a weight loss program, it was very important to me that it not be a fad. There are so many fad diets. I did a lot of research and found Ideal Protein-based in Canada. It was new to the United States at that time but the results were truly amazing. The program was developed by an MD and is scientifically based. It truly is a metabolic makeover, not just a diet.
“How does ElectroSlim fit with the Ideal Protein diet?”
Ideal Protein is a ketogenic diet which restricts cardio exercise during the weight loss portion. ElectroSlim, FDA approved, is a passive exercise using neuromuscular stimulation which promotes circulation, detoxification, and muscle toning and tightening. As a person loses fat, toxins can be released from the fat cells and ElectroSlim aids in flushing the toxins into the lymphatic system for removal. This is a wonderful benefit to the Ideal Protein program. Also, many people are concerned about loose and saggy skin. ElectroSlim tones and tightens the skin and muscle under the fat. And it is deeply relaxing, aiding in stress reduction which assists in weight loss as well.
“What is your proudest moment with 7Company?”
I was very proud when 7Company Weight Loss & Wellness Center was voted best weight loss center in Loudoun County and has consistently been in the top rankings. I am so grateful because it is our dieters that voted for us as they realize the benefits of our program. And proud because I believe we have amazing coaches, who support, educate and cheer on each dieter. We are making a difference in people’s lives.
“What is your favorite Ideal Protein recipe?”
I’m a huge fan of chocolate and our chocolate chip muffin recipe is my all-time favorite. I would top these with a little Walden Farms marshmallow crème!
“What are some of your hobbies outside of work?”
I enjoy yoga and meditation classes, as well as tennis and salsa dancing. Curling up with a good book with my dog and cat is also a favorite pastime. I have three wonderful children that I love to spend time with whenever I get the chance. My youngest son is a sophomore at UVA, my daughter is local and works with autistic children and my middle son is living in Chesterfield, VA.
