6 oz. ground beef, chicken or turkey
1 C. fat free beef, chicken or turkey broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 C. green bell peppers, chopped
1 C. tomatoes, chopped
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. ground oregano
1 1/2 tsp. ground cilantro
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. Ideal Protein salt
1 tsp. jalapeno, chopped
2 tsp. oil
Onion (optional)
Green onion (optional)
Heat oil in a nonstick pan on medium heat. Add garlic and meat. Cook until meat is browned. Add the rest of the ingredients except the green bell peppers and cook until tomatoes are soft, 5 to 7 minutes. Add green bell peppers and cook for another 10 minutes. Serve with chopped raw or green onions.
